The Path of Titans Rules & MOTD Generator is a free utility developed by NexLink Core that helps server administrators create perfectly formatted Rules.txt and MOTD.txt files for the popular dinosaur survival game, Path of Titans. Instead of memorising Alderon’s formatting tags, you can click size and colour buttons to build your message, watch a live preview update as you type, and validate your content before you upload it to your server.

Path of Titans Formatting Rules

Path of Titans (Alderon Games) supports a small set of formatting tags for the Rules.txt and MOTD.txt files. Markdown and HTML are not supported — only the tags below.

  • Sizes: <title> (largest), <large>, <small>
  • Colours: <red>, <orange>, <yellow>, <green>, <blue>, <purple>, <white>
  • Every opening tag must be closed with </>.
  • Formatting cannot be combined — for example, <title><red>Hello</></> will only use the title size. The generator’s validation and auto-fix will catch this for you.
  • Content must stay within 16384 characters, which is the limit enforced by Path of Titans.

How to Use the Path of Titans Rules & MOTD Generator

  1. Choose a mode: Select Rules or MOTD at the top of the tool. This sets the preview label and the download filename (Rules.txt or MOTD.txt).
  2. Type your content in the editor.
  3. Format your text: Highlight the words you want to style, then click a Size or Colour button. The tool wraps your selection in the correct tag, for example <orange>Be respectful at all times</>.
  4. Check the preview to see roughly how your message will appear to players in-game.
  5. Review the validation checklist. Green ticks mean your content is valid; red crosses point out issues such as an unclosed tag or exceeding the 16384 character limit.
  6. Auto-Fix (optional): Click Auto-Fix to automatically close open tags, remove combined formatting and unsupported tags, and trim your content to the 16384 character limit.
  7. Copy or Download: Click Copy to copy the content to your clipboard, or Download to save your Rules.txt / MOTD.txt file. Click Reset to start over.
Warning

The server must be stopped while editing server files. You must save your edits and restart your server for any changes to take effect. Place Rules.txt and MOTD.txt in your PathofTitans / Saved folder.
